What is Product Adoption Rate?

Share of users adopting a product or feature.

How to calculate it

Calculate Product Adoption Rate as: Users using a feature / Total users × 100. Pull the inputs from your connected data and track the trend over time in your dashboard.

Examples

Example 1

6,000 of 30,000 users adopt the new integration -> 20% adoption.

Example 2

6,000 of 30,000 active users adopt a new integration within a month -> 20% adoption, ahead of the 15% target set for launch.

Why it matters

Product adoption rate is the share of users adopting a product or feature and indicates value realization and stickiness. It guides roadmap priorities and shows whether new features are actually being used. Measuring logins instead of meaningful use overstates adoption and gives a false sense of success.
